- Traditionally, $500-1000 is additionally charged for porcelain, tooth-colored braces to straighten your teeth. At Crawford Orthodontics there is no additional costs for different colored braces.
- Many offices require a 25-30% down payment to start treatment Although paying a larger down payment will reduce your monthly payments, we know this is not an option for everyone. Dr. Crawford will explain and work with you on ways to afford a beautiful, healthy and confident smile.
- There is no added fee for your first set of retainers when the braces come off and we do not charge seperately for appliances needed during treatment.
- Some Orthodontists practice out of many offices, spending only a few days a month in a certain office. This requires the patient to conform their busy schedule to the limited schedule of the orthodontist. Many times this requires the patient to schedule appointments only on certain days of the week, or only on a few days per month. Crawford Orthodontics is here full-time.
- Orthodontics can be a complex process. Too many times patient interaction is sacrificed for efficiency. Dr. Crawford will take the time to explain things and answer all questions you may have. In this busy world, Dr. Crawford takes the time to slow it down and spend as much time as you need to help you understand and make informed decisions for you or your family.
- We use low friction braces to help speed treatment and reduce discomfort
- We use temporary anchorage devices (TADs) to reduce or eliminate unwanted side effects which could lengthen treatment. In some cases TADs can eliminate the need for headgears and long term rubber band usage.
- We use a more accurate way of placing braces on the teeth. This method reduces the time the patient has to sit in the chair with their mouth open and can reduce overall treatment time.
- Dr. Crawford was a general dentist for over five years, prior to completing his orthodontic residency. During this time he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency which gave him in-depth knowledge of all aspects of dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, implant placement, and laser treatments. Dr. Crawford understands how to communicate with the general dentist and other specialists to achieve the best smile possible for each of our patients.
